You know how in restaurants, they have bathrooms. Sometimes they have bathrooms with many many stalls. But in some smaller restaurants, they just have a men's room and a women's room. The mens restroom has just one toilet, and presumably the women's restroom is the same. I think the purpose of separating the bathrooms of opposite sexes is to avoid having a male and a female having to pee next to each other. However, if they just have 2 sets of restrooms, each with just one toilet, then it seems that it would be better not to separate them, one as men and one as women. I mean suppose there are 2 guys who need to use the restroom. One has to wait till the other is done. Why shouldn't he be able to use the other room, which is designated for women. It seems to me that there is little point in having this designation for single-toilet bathrooms.
