I think the most disappointing thing for me is that I'll never know the future. We can predict that the sun will burn out in about 5 billion years, but we can't accurately predict how long the US will last, when the next 8.0 quake strikes a big city, etc. I want to see/know what things will be like in 100 years, 1000 years, 100,000 years, a million years. Some people predict that humans will go extinct due to civilizations, while others predict with great confidence that human life, or the descendance of it will spread throughout the universe over the next hundreds of thousands and millions of years. But not only will I never know the future of mankind in a hundred thousand year, I won't know what human life expectancy is in a thousand years, or how long the US will survive, etc. I'm dying to know these things and I never will. But I guess I know more than people did just hundred of years ago. Imagine what Gallileo would think of the world today, having things like a Space Probe named after him. All the change of the last few hundreds years......there will probably be just as much in the upcoming few hundreds years and I'm NEVER EVER EVER find out about it. I'll just die instead. Oh well. Such is life. :)
