I read a news story that claims that there are those who think the Mars Pathfinder landing is a govt hoax. They apparently claim that the pictures that the whole world has seen were shot in the desert and sent through a red filter. My first response is, why in the world would the govt go through this trouble to stage a hoax. Apparently some of the skeptics claim that they see a "discarded Evian water bottle tucked under the large rock dubbed Barnacle Bill". Now, supposing the govt was just making a hoax. You'd think they'd be a little more careful and not let an Evian bottle not be in the picture.
