Anyway, I have some comments on the media's coverage of the this eclipse. IT SUCKED! On the radio, during mid-eclipse, one reporting, "Let's check out the eclipsed that's supposed to be going on right now, as if it might have decided to wait till tomorrow or something. And the picture of the path of the eclipse though the earth's shadow in one of the newspapers, wll, I suppose it wasn't THAT bad, but it just wasn't very accurate. I mean why not go through the trouble of doing it right if they are going to put it in the newspaper. And in an article on the CNN web page a few days ago they said something to the affect that eclipse is only visible from the western hemisphere. Ummmmm....well, it's visible from most of the western hemisphere, but not most of the eastern hemisphere, but there are many parts of the eastern hemisphere that the eclipse was totally visible from, like oh, most of Europe and Africa! I mean it was better visible in all of Africa than from the west coast of the US, where we didn't even get to see the whole thing. I mean where do they get their information? And one radio station reported that this is the last total lunar eclipse of the century/millenium. That is false. There will be a total lunar eclipse in January of 2000. The century/millenium does not end until December 31, 2000.

Ok, enough about the eclipse for now. I got more to talk about
