What is it about people who think they are special because they work in the media. You always see these news vans parked wherever they want. Let's see. There is a big event and so the news media wants to cover it. But, of course, the news van isn't going to go and parallel park 5 blocks away. No, it's going to park in the red zone. Now, presumably there is a reason that it's a red zone. Maybe it's a fire lane. Maybe there is a higher risk of needing that lane being that there are so many people around. I think the news vans deserve a ticket. I ought to do an experiment. One of these times I see a news van parked like that I'll watch. I'll observe police officers ignoring the van. Then, I'll drive my car and park it right next to the news van in the red zone. I bet I'd get a ticket so fast. What's up with that? If the reason for the red zone is other than so that it is reserved parking for the news van, then the news van should get towed. By the way, I'm not serious about doing that experiment.
