And here's my other digression for today. Its about FM radio stations. The ones that play some of the music that I like. The DJs act about 1/3 of their age. Now, if I want to listen to music on the radio, I put it on a music radio station. I don't want to listen to contests. "Caller number 97.5 wins a T-shirt that happens to advertise this radio station. Hi, you're caller number 1. Sorry. You're caller number 2......You're caller number 83.... If I want a contest I can play the lottery or something. and the gimics they have.... And this one local station calls the 5 oclock hour the "gettin' off hour". They say it's the "climax of the day". Is this really necesary? They are obviously reaching out to the teenage audience, or the audiance of adults who act like teenagers. I mean I wish they'd just shut up and play music.

And then in the morning. Oh, it's horrible. You have these adults acting like idiots, trying to be entertaining. I mean if I want talk radio, I'll listen to talk radio. If I wanted to listen to immature people talk about stupid things, I'd go back to junior high school. I mean it's just unbareably stupid. and they try to give you the news. This one local station calls it "lifestyle news". "Our top story is that Christian Slater slept with Madonna last night". Who cares!?!

And radio commercials. Some of them are pretty good...far better than anything on TV, but some of them are really annoying. If commercials are really stupid, the radio station should reject them. I mean if I hear a good intellgient commercial, I'll keep the station tuned in. If I hear an average commercial, I might stay tuned in, but if I hear a really stupid annoying commercial, I'll switch the station right away. I mean if 2 stations were equal in all other ways, but one of them had intellient commericals, and the other had stupid ones, you can guess which station I'd listen to.
